Have you ever wondered why people who do bad things are rewarded? Jeremiah pondered this question in verse 12:1: "Why has the way of the wicked prospered? Why are all those who deal in treachery at ease?" Its very hard to understand how Kyle Foote keeps getting away with hurting so many former friends and wives. But the thing we must remember is that Kyle, just like anyone who has gone against God, repeatedly and without repentance will face their judgment day. Kyle will be called to give an account of every person he's wronged and every vow he's broken. And when that day comes he won't be able to run away. He won't be able to justify or excuse his way out of it. On judgement day Kyle James Foote will have no choice but to face what he's done even if he spends the rest of his life on earth blocking it out. There will be justice it just may not be in our lifetime. So until that day we can take comfort in God's promises. "The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety" Psalms 18:2.
NIV: "The man who hates and divorces his wife," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "does violence to the one he should protect," says the LORD Almighty." Malachi 2:16
NEW LIVING: "For I hate divorce!" says the LORD, the God of Israel. "To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies." Malachi 2:16
Unlike Kyle James God keeps His promises and we can rest in his unfailing love knowing that He will never abandon us or go back on His word.
